Network Technician Job Titles

Computer Operator, Network Technician, Network Support Specialist, Email Specialist

Job Description:
Network Technicians help install and support an organization’s network and their computer systems. They are responsible for local-area networks (LAN), wide-area networks (WAN), network segments, and Internet and intranet systems. They work in a variety of IT job environments, including professional offices, small businesses, government organizations, and large corporations. They help on a basic level to maintain network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor networks to ensure their availability to system users.

They can also help perform network back-ups and measure network performance. They normally work under direct supervision, typically reporting to a Network Administrator.
